MY BACKGROUND

Robert Friedman is a board-certified ophthalmologist in solo practice in New York City for more than three decades. Dr. Friedman has pioneered techniques in cataract surgery that are widely used today and teaches clinical and surgical ophthalmology to colleagues and residents-in-training.

 

Dr. Friedman completed a medical and surgical residency in Ophthalmology at Lenox Hill Hospital where he served as the Chief Resident. After the completion of his training, Dr. Friedman was appointed the Coordinator of Resident Education. 

 

Dr. Friedman completed a medical and surgical fellowship in Diseases of the Retina and routinely performs laser photocoagulation and surgery to repair retinal detachments, macular holes, macular puckers and diabetic retinopathy.

 

Robert Friedman, MD, PC is an independent ophthalmology practice that is devoted to the highest standard of care on an individualized basis.
